Jost Hurler as the proprietor and the Althoff Hotels chains as the operator have worked together to achieve a fine balance between tradition and modernity, highlighting the particular flair of the region with an international outlook. The building's history can be traced right back to the 15th century. Since 1945, Jost Hurler and his wife Josefine, the owner of what used to be the "Zur Überfahrt" inn, have played a major role in steering the fate of the traditional building together, turning it into a prestigious hotel. After numerous renovations measures and style changes, the hotel was replaced with a larger new build in 2001 that met all the requirements for a modern hotel concept. This modern style has developed over the last few years, creating a comfortable atmosphere incorporating touches of regional construction and interior design and a regional/international mix of tradition and modernity that runs through every area of the hotel concept – architecture, service and gastronomy. It has a unique authentic character that matches up to the highest international standards.
